Earning a college degree is a dream of mine. It is my goal because I want to show my family that I am capable of doing, make them proud, and pay them back for everything they have done for me. I want to pursue a college degree because I want to help my family and my career. I was born in a refugee camp. It was a very poor place, and many people found education hard to find. Many people dealt with hunger at night because of low income and there was no food available. Food was difficult to find and getting an education was challenging because many people lived far away from school, so they had to walk from place to place. During this time there often wasn’t food at school, and it was hard for me to deal with, especially after walking a long distance from home to school. Often when my siblings and I got home from school there wasn’t any food in the house either. When we were living in the refugee camp, my family had a farm which was helpful concerning our condition. It was hard to get the basics, and even harder to celebrate special occasions. It was even difficult to buy new clothes on Christmas or New Year’s. Many kids did not, and the hard conditions affected our health. Earning a college degree would benefit my family and me. Wanting to make things good for my family has inspired me to take action to ensure their well-being and the betterment of my community. I am committed to making a positive impact towards improving where I live. 

I want to pursue a college degree to achieve my career goals. College will allow me to start a new journey to help people. I want to show people that I care and to make positive changes in my community. I know that going to college will help me a lot in my life. I will learn a lot that will prepare me for the future. I know it will be difficult at times but I am prepared for that because I know that in the end, it will help me. I want to become an EMT because I want to help people in my community. After all, in my community, there are no EMTs. I think that by doing this I will be able to teach people about how to respond in emergencies. I will be able to help make a difference in my community.  I also want to go to college so I can help my parents with the bills. Going to college will help me get a better job so I can earn more money. Right now the people who are working are my brother, mom, and my daddy, but my family has nine people in it. I want to help my parents with the bills in the future and help take care of my siblings and my parents. I want to take care of my family because I’m the oldest girl in my family and I feel responsible for them. My family is my responsibility and I feel like I have to work hard to make my family proud. I don’t want to see people suffer, and going to college will help make my dreams come true. I don’t want my community to be poor again. I want my community to be happy and safe. I want to help my community to improve and to help other people. In my life, my personal goal is to help my community but my parents want me to be a doctor or a nurse, so I decided to be an EMT or paramedic. I want to help my community and I don’t want to see people suffer, and going to college will help make my dreams come true. I don’t want my community to be poor anymore it hurts me when I see my people suffer. this college degree will be very special for me and my future too because my dream is to help people I know many people pass through a lot right I know I can not finish all of them but the small change that I will make will mean a lot to other people I know people will be happy with that and I know it makes many people move forward to their dream because I know many people got the same dream as mine but they don’t how to make it up so they just end up giving up but for me, I want to make a lot of difference I want to be a good example for the because many people believed that women can’t make any changing but I know I can prove them wrong let them know that anyone can do anything when they believe in herself and not let their dream to be crash because of people words.
