During my participation in 20/20 leadership, my knowledge of a leader has played a significant role in how I have viewed the world around me. I have taken on responsibilities that align with my values and beliefs. Looking back at my time in this program, I have grown in both knowledge and character, allowing me to better assist my peers and the people around me. I have learned to become a leader for others and for myself, someone who contributes to their community and strives to create change. 20/20 leadership has made me think not only about how well I can become a leader but also taught me skills like managing my time and abilities to do things, helping me with college choices, and leading me in a path that teaches me leadership is how you carry yourself, what you do for the people around you, being a leader means being responsible for your actions and as I continued my journey, my leadership skills have improved even more when I have these thoughts in my mind.

Everything I have learned in this program will shape my future. My commitment to leadership and problem-solving skills will help me navigate challenges and create meaningful change.  My leadership skills will continue to grow and in the future, I plan to be more involved in my community and share my knowledge of what I have learned about leadership and how that has been an important part of my life. I plan to educate the younger generation on what it takes to be a leader, I want to use these skills in work settings, and problem-solving, using it as a weapon to encourage people that a leader is someone, who stands up for the right, someone who fights for their desire to make a difference, someone that values the little things and appreciates their unique differences of what make them who they are. My leadership skills will be a part of who I am and what I want to take this mindset in my desired field of study. It will help me navigate through life and become a better version of myself by sharing my understanding with others.

Leaving a legacy means so many things to me. I have lived on this earth for 18 years and I believe that in everything I do, I leave a legacy, a legacy of memories, a legacy of commitment, a legacy of contribution, and most importantly a legacy of remembrance. Leaving a legacy means setting a mark on the world just like my forefathers who struggled under the sun to protect my mothers and my mothers protecting me from the dangers of the world. I believe that leaving a legacy doesn’t have to be something you are famous for, even the little things that we do, the little things that happened in my life are leaving a legacy of recognizing my effort to make a difference. My efforts to express myself, be understood, and make a difference all contribute to the legacy I leave behind.
