Reflecting on my participation in 20/20 leadership I would say I have grown more as a leader especially through my communication skills and being able to participate in group work more effectively. I have met a significant amount of people and even have grown relationships with my peers which was unexpected for me. I now am more educated on several things such as spending and saving and what I can do moving towards in my career that will help me a tremendous amount as I enter my adult hood. Also eventually sharing this information with those around me so that it is not only helping me but also others. Reflecting on the adults in my program I have also learned a lot on what it means to be a leader. I will gather all this information going forward and will continue to grow as I explore my future and career goals. Ive learned a lot more on how to spend my time and how to use it effectively in the real world and I’m truly grateful for this program for giving me the opportunity to learn new things. Leaving a legacy means to not also help myself but give light to those not being able to experience the things I have and am going to in the future. Many people in my family and just everyday life have either quit school or were unable to go to school for specific reasons and I want to not only do it for myself but for those I look up to and care for. Leaving a legacy means trying your best with what you have and making it all count. So that you’re not only happy with what you’ve done but having little to no regrets and not wishing you could’ve done more but being grateful that you spent your time effectively and making yourself and others around you proud of your accomplishments.
