My leadership abilities have significantly improved in this, my first year of 20/20 leadership. I now know how to evaluate my past actions and consider how I could do better in the future. For me, developing into a 20/20 leader has changed my life. My previous conception of leadership was dominated by conventional notions of authority and decision-making. But as I’ve embraced the 20/20 leadership principles which focus on vision, clarity, and the ability to see beyond the current challenges I’ve evolved a more comprehensive, empathetic approach. I now understand that being a leader is more than just giving instructions; it’s also about helping people fulfill their full potential. I’ve learned to consider long-term success while making decisions, rather than just now. This growth has allowed me to fortify teams, foster a culture of cooperation, and, most importantly, enhance my own leadership abilities and self-awareness. I can now lead with a clearer vision and a greater understanding of how I impact those around me because of my use of self-reflection, constructive criticism, and an openness to change. I’ve been able to improve as a leader by getting feedback from others. I will benefit in the future if I apply what I have learned to my goals. One essential component of being a nurse, which is what I want to do, is being a leader. Giving and receiving feedback is very important in the nursing profession since without it, a nurse cannot progress in their job. The dynamic and challenging area of nursing requires more than just technical skills and clinical expertise. It calls for strong leadership abilities that can enhance medical procedures, promote teamwork, and positively affect patient results. For me, leaving a legacy is making a big difference that lasts long after I’m gone. It’s about planting seeds that will grow and have an impact long after I’m gone. It’s not only about what I’ve accomplished; it’s also about how I can inspire, encourage, or guide others to build something greater than themselves. I want to leave a positive impact that others can build upon and continue, whether it be through my career, my ideals, or simple deeds of kindness. Making something that will carry my essence, my purpose, and my love into the future is the goal. I’ll apply what I’ve learned going forward by regularly evaluating my experiences and actions, asking myself what went well, what didn’t, and how I might do better. Frequent self-reflection will enable me to pinpoint my areas of improvement, and it is during these periods of self-examination that I may modify and improve my strategy.  I can get insightful viewpoints that question my assumptions and point out blind spots I might not otherwise notice if I actively seek out other people’s opinions. In addition to helping me grow personally, this method improves my leadership abilities. I may become a more effective leader who encourages teamwork, establishes trust, and inspires others to develop by listening to others and taking their input into consideration. In the end, the more I learn, the more I can mold my future behavior to benefit both myself and the people I manage.
