This is how I have grown as a leader. To me, leadership is not just about holding a position of leadership or powers; it’s about  inspiring others and encouraging others towards the same goals. During my junior year, I was part of the Olympic project that initially seemed overwhelming. However, it became a transformation experience that taught me how to stay a leader and empathy in leadership. Through the Olympic season I had learned how to be a speaker and not to hide my talent. With that I was able to be a part of the student council at my school and grow my leadership skills. I have explored skills which will help me in the future and also any challenges that may come in the future all thanks to my leadership skills.This is how what I have learned will help me in the future: being effective in communication will help me by honing my leadership skills to convey ideas clearly and efficiently and be more open to people and the environment and also increasing my confidence, leadership experience would build self confidence and it helps with decision making abilities. Opportunities are also important when it comes to one’s future and self  confidence. After what I have learned I will have the ability to problem solve in high pressure situations in which I can challenge myself in what comes out of the way and also critical thinking it prepares me for obstacles and creativity. This is what leaving a legacy means to me, it means there’s something big out there that belongs to me and I was the one who built it and it’s not just for me but also for the next group of people who come after me. The influence that I have on others and also it has grown on them as well. Relationships and connections are one of the most important things a person can have while having a legacy in which means teaching others and supporting your community. It helps leave an imprint to those around you. Legacy being something big you have done and also you are recognized for it and it leaves a big impression on how people view you. This is what legacy means to me, a long lasting impact of particular events, actions, that took place in the past or of a person’s life. For example when I was a kid I got a big burn on my body and I was on medication for quite some time and none of the medicine work but one day a professional doctor showed up and with not much of the medication my injuries were healing in just a couple of weeks with that it left such a big impression on me and also for the doctor it was like leaving a legacy behind for people to remember especially my family. So when a legacy is completed it means you have completed something bigger and the people still remember it no matter how many years have passed. As long as it’s a memory and important as well it will never be forgotten.
