Since joining the program I’ve seen how it impacts and helps other students, I’ve seen how it helped me collaborate and grow with my classmates. It’s helped me grow and learn how to work with others to achieve greatness together and use great skills and leadership. With what I’ve learned in leadership so far, I know I’ll be able to carry the things I’ve learned into other aspects of my life. I’ll be able to demonstrate my team working abilities and help those around me prosper and uplift them. Not just that but the importance of helping others and being able to achieve things in different settings and no matter the pressure. To me leaving a legacy means being to show others what you did even after you’re not there anymore. It means showing that you did amazing things in order to help others and inspire them. Being able to show those after you that you can achieve anything and help others along the way. Before joining, I didn’t fully understand what it meant to be a leader beyond just being able to guide others. Now, I’ve learned that leadership is about more than just giving direction, it’s also about inspiring and motivating others, understanding their strengths, and helping them grow. These leadership principles have helped me build stronger relationships with my peers, and they’ve taught me how to empower others to reach their full potential. I’ve seen the difference this can make, not just in group projects, but in every aspect of my life. Especially when it came to the leadership project, although it was tough it took a lot of effort from all of us and guidance as well as advice and ways to see how we could make it better so we could all achieve. What I think is especially exciting is that the leadership skills I’ve gained through this program will carry over into the future, both at school and in my professional life. I know that being able to work as a team and lead will serve me well in any circumstance, whether I’m doing a group project at the office or a community project. I feel more self-assured now about my ability to rise to the occasion and lead others, even under stressful situations. I know that no matter the pressure, I can be focused on achieving our goals and motivating others to be the same.A legacy is not merely giant success, it’s making small things a day that encourage other individuals to push themselves harder than they ever believed they could, to think better of themselves, and to realize that they, too, can make a difference in the world. The lessons that I have learned during this program have equipped me with the ability to look at leadership and collaboration in a way that I know that I will be able to continue using throughout the rest of my life. I see sharing those lessons with other people so that by inspiring others around us, we’re making the type of legacy that has the potential to inspire great things long after our death.
