Participating in the 20/2o leadership program even though for a short time, has significantly impacted my growth as a leader. This program that I joined during my Junoir year of high school has taught me invaluable lessons about communication, character, and self-worth, all of which have contributed to my development as a leader, Through various events and networking, I have learned how to communicate more effectively with others, ensuring that my massages are clear and that I am listening to those around me. This has not only improved my ability to lead but has also strengthened my relationship with my peers and teachers.

Moreover, the program has helped me shape my character. I was shy growing up but through this program, I have become more understanding of my strengths and most importantly my voice. This awareness has allowed me to lead with authenticity, which is essential for any leader. This program has taught me the importance of carrying myself with confidence and professionalism. I have learned that how I present myself can significantly influence how others perceive and respond to me.

I plan to use the skills and knowledge gained from the 20/2o leadership program in my future career as a dental hygienist. Effective communication will be crucial in building trust with patients. The character development I have experienced will help me navigate the challenges of my profession with resilience and empathy.

To me “leaving a legacy” means doing something that will be remembered and valued by others long after I am gone. It is about making a lasting impact that continues to benefit others in the future. Through my career in dental hygiene, I hope to leave a legacy by educating patients on the importance of dental hygiene and helping them achieve healthier lifestyles. I aspire to be a role model for future leaders in my community, by demonstrating the importance of integrity, empathy, and effective communication which is what this program has helped me by. By doing so, I aim to inspire others to pursue their passion and make a positive difference in the world which is what 20/20 leadership is doing with their student, and I will forever be grateful for it.

In conclusion, my participation in the 20/20 Leadership program has been a transformative experience, shaping me into a more effective leader, than I thought I could ever be. The skills and lessons I have learned will undoubtedly guide me in my future career and personal life. Leaving a legacy is about making a meaningful and lasting impact, and I am committed to doing so through my work in dental hygiene. I am confident that the principles of leadership I have embraced will serve as a foundation for my growth in life. This program has been an amazing journey and, I look forward to applying what I’ve learned to make a positive difference in the world.
