Hello my name is Ny’Vieanna Whitmore. I am a senior and I graduate this year. Now as asked I will be answering a prompt on my participation in the 20/20 Leadership program, how have I grown as a leader? How will I use what you’ve learned in the future? 

Participation in the 20/20 Leadership program has been an invaluable journey that has significantly contributed to my growth as a leader. Additionally, the program has prompted me to contemplate the profound concept of “leaving a legacy” and its significance in shaping my leadership narrative.

Throughout my involvement in the 20/20 Leadership program, one of the most notable areas of growth has been my ability to communicate effectively. The program’s emphasis on interpersonal skills, with various interactive sessions and workshops, has honed my capacity to articulate ideas clearly and empathetically. I am now better at understanding diverse perspectives, and adapting my communication style to different audiences. This enhanced communication proficiency has not only improved my team collaboration but has also allowed me to foster a more inclusive and supportive work environment.
I have gained insights into decision-making processes, conflict resolution, and strategic planning. The 20/20 Leadership program has acted as a catalyst for my personal development, allowing me to evolve into a more adaptable and resilient leader.

I started off a very shy and introverted barely able to breathe too loud in a crowd but I’ve gotten better, I’ve evolved. Thanks to the amazing opportunity of being in this program.
