A sense of belonging, knowing that life is worth living without looking down on oneself to know if they are perfect or beautiful, is a need within my community. Every day I wake to struggles around the world. Women, girls, Men, and boys feel they must look a certain way to be accepted into society. Social media take away their self-love because they feel like they need to look like others to be loved. Sometimes I just want to hug these people and tell them that they are worth it and they do not need to be anyone but themselves. I want them to know there is nothing like being true to yourself and understanding your value in life. These challenges sometimes cause depression, anxiety, and stress among younger generations. It’s sometimes hard to talk to someone about it because they don’t know what that person might think of them and it makes it even worse because they will always lack confidence. I want to elaborate more on this issue because I have been in situations where I felt like, everyone was beautiful except me, and I used to stress about it a lot, which caused me to overthink small things, and look down on myself worth and it was the worst feeling. Luckily I got through these hard feelings because I had people I could talk to whom I trusted but most of the time, not everyone had support. I was lucky enough to have found myself and every day as I continue to live, I just want to encourage people that they are loved no matter what, this need within my community is something that I want to see change in the future generations.  

After High school, I want to attend college and study healthcare. I have always wanted to be in the medical field, caring for patients and helping them with the best treatment they need. My passion for Healthcare started when I was a kid. I saw how people were being treated if they didn’t have the financial stability to provide for medical expenses and It always hurt me because no one should ever be refused medication just because they can’t afford it and this happens a lot around the world.  Where I am from, we don’t have many opportunities to do what we want, and being in America has allowed me to help the people in my country. Going into the healthcare field is not an easy study but my passion for being there for others and thinking that I can make a difference in the world is what has driven me to pick this path. I want to use my education to help those in need even if they don’t have what it takes to get a better treatment. Many people lose their lives because they can’t afford medical expenses and with my passion, I hope to help these people and provide them with medical treatment even if it’s free. This has been something I have dreamed of from the very moment I started to see my perspective of the world and it would be a dream come true if I could be educated and help not only the indigent but the whole world.

I believe my future education will help me impact the needs within my community due to my passion for making a change. I want to go into healthcare and with a degree related to medicine I believe that I can be able to educate people more on self-worth and self belonging, I can provide mental health support that will allow people from various backgrounds an opportunity to feel love and know that they are worth living and belong in this word. My passion for always sharing positive affirmation and my education will encourage me to follow my dreams and to also be there for not only the needy but everyone in every circumstance.
