ESSAY PROMPT: Please compose a 600-700 word essay that addresses each of the following: Describe a need within your community. What do you plan to study after high school? How will your future education help you impact that need within your community?

In my community, there’s a need for a group that can help clean up the neighborhood every so often. I’ve always felt strongly about keeping the environment clean, and I know that when people work together, it creates a sense of pride and connection. If we had a support system that organized regular cleanups, it could bring people together, create a cleaner, healthier environment, and even raise property values. But beyond that, it would really improve the quality of life for everyone here. In the future, I hope to find a way to implement such a support group, not only to uplift our community but also to show the power of unity and the caring nature behind it. Ultimately, I believe that taking care of our neighborhood will not only improve our environment but also help foster a stronger, more connected community.

Looking to the future, my dream is to become a Marine Biologist. I’ve always had a deep love for nature, animals, and all forms of life. From a young age, I’ve been fascinated by the way animals live, what they eat, how they communicate, and how they interact with each other. The more I learn, the more I realize how similar humans are to other animals, and how each species has its own unique qualities. I want to experience this curiosity firsthand by studying animals in their natural environments. By becoming a Marine Biologist, I hope to understand marine ecosystems better and explore how different species are connected. I believe that through understanding animals, we can learn more about ourselves and our place in the world. This knowledge drives my passion for preserving delicate ecosystems and motivates me to make a positive impact. Ultimately, becoming a Marine Biologist will let me combine my love for nature with my goal of protecting the world around us.

I’ve always felt a deep, unwavering connection to both my local community and the environment, and it’s something that has always driven me. From a young age, I’ve been aware of how vital it is to protect the world around us, and that’s become even clearer as I’ve grown. I’ve made it my mission to make a real, lasting difference, whether it’s by contributing to local conservation efforts or advocating for sustainable practices. As I work toward my goal of becoming a Marine Biologist, I feel a sense of purpose and urgency. I am passionate about safeguarding our oceans, preserving marine life, and ensuring that future generations will be able to experience and enjoy the beauty and resources our oceans provide. It’s not just a career goal for me—it’s a personal commitment to make a tangible impact on both the environment and the communities that rely on it.

I’ve always been passionate about the environment, and I believe that small, local actions can lead to powerful global changes. Whether it’s organizing community clean-up events or working with larger conservation groups, I know I can make a meaningful impact. Every time I pick up trash or encourage others to do the same, I’m reminded that this is just the beginning of a larger effort to preserve the beauty and health of our natural world.

Becoming a Marine Biologist is the ultimate dream, and I know that with the knowledge and skills I gain, I can contribute in ways that matter. Whether through local projects or larger conservation initiatives, my goal is to blend my love for nature with my passion for science to make a real, lasting difference. I want to help protect the environment for future generations while keeping my neighborhood clean and thriving. It’s all connected, and I’m excited to be on this journey, taking each step with purpose and dedication, toward creating the kind of world we all deserve.
