Leadership is a crucial skill that can make a significant impact on both an individual’s personal development and the overall success of a school or community. Demonstrating leadership ability in school or community settings is not only important for one’s own growth but also for the society as a whole. In my 4 years of high school I have demonstrated leadership ability in my school, expressed my aspirations for future leadership roles, and identified and discussed the impact of effective leadership on the people around us.  These are just a few of the many things that I am passionate about.

 In my school, I have actively participated in various extracurricular activities that have allowed me to showcase my leadership abilities. I was in the student council, where I was responsible for organizing events, coordinating fundraising initiatives, and representing the student body in meetings with school administration. Through this role, I have demonstrated my ability to communicate effectively, delegate tasks, and make decisions that benefit the entire student population. By actively participating in the student council it allowed me to show initiative, effective communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with others. It allowed me the chance to inspire my peers, to be a role model, and make a difference in my school community.Additionally, I have been a student teacher to younger students, providing guidance, building bonds and support to help them navigate the challenges of fifth grade. I was allowed the opportunity to go over to the elementary  school for an hour and a half and teach the fifth graders. This allowed me to support the teacher, guide the students, and be a role model in the classroom. I assisted with lesson planning, helped students with their assignments, and provided extra support to those who needed it. This amazing opportunity also allowed me to lead by example by showing patience, empathy, and a positive attitude. I like to believe that my presence and involvement in the classroom inspired students to want to learn and grow.

 Looking towards the future, I hope to continue demonstrating leadership in various capacities. I plan to pursue a career in biomedical engineering, where I can use my leadership skills to lead projects and teams in the development of innovative medical technologies and solutions. I can take charge of research initivas, collaborate with healthcare professionals, and make critical decisions to improve patient care. I can also demonstrate leadership by advocating for ethical practices, ensuring the safety and efficacy of medical devices and promoting advancements in the field. My expertise and contributions as a biomedical engineer can have a positive impact on healthcare and inspire others to pursue similar paths.

Effective leadership is essential for the success of any organization or community. It requires the ability to inspire, motivate, and empower others to work towards a common goal. Throughout history, there have been many influential individuals who have demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities and have made a significant impact on their community such as Malala Yousafzai, she is a Pakistani activist for female education and the youngest Nobel Prize laureate. She has shown incredible courage and determination in advocating for girls rights. I hope to be`a great leader like her and make a change.
