Throughout my high school years, I have been passionate about putting empathy into practice during my time in high school, directing my energies into initiatives that improve my school and neighborhood. Actively participating in community service, through ways like giving out food to families in need and assisting parents with empowerment and community classes, is a noteworthy way that I have shown my leadership.

A concrete example of my leadership in action is the Harvesters Food Pantry. Recognizing the importance of addressing the immediate needs of families in our community, I was a part of the initiative to organize and contribute to helping families in need. The food pantry sought to foster a sense of communal support in addition to offering food. Working together with local volunteers, educators, and other students, we made sure that families who were experiencing food poverty had access to wholesome meals. My conviction that effective leadership entails anticipating problems and acting decisively to bring about change was strengthened by this experience.
