Throughout my school years, social anxiety significantly influenced my identity, hindering various actions, from advocating for myself in certain situations to even requesting for a simple pencil. Growing up with social anxiety was challenging as it often left me feeling anxious and unable to assert myself. However, participating in 2020 leadership has been transformative. It has helped me forge new friendships, step out of my comfort zone, engage in activities I wouldn’t normally pursue. These experiences have enabled me to develop leadership qualities, such as seeking opportunities for growth, honing my communication skills, and being able to support other individuals.

It has taught me the importance of assisting others when they need it, advocating for them, embracing fearlessness in taking action.

As I continue to grow, I will apply the valuable knowledge gained from this experience to foster my personal growth alongside others. I plan to utilize my enhanced ability to support others by actively seeking opportunities to provide assistance and encouragement to those in need. Whether it’s offering a listening ear, providing emotional support, or lending a helping hand, I am committed to bring a source of strength and guidance for others. By sharing my experiences and insights, I hope to inspire and empower individuals to overcome their own challenges and achieve their full potential. By actively seeking these opportunities, I hope to contribute positively to society, whether it’s through volunteering, mentoring, or participating in community initiatives. When it comes to defining what a legacy means to me I would say it’s about personal beliefs and perspectives. A legacy is about making a lasting impact on someone, it’s about creating positive influence, whether through actions, accomplishments, or the values we instill in each other. For example my legacy would be having my last name be Orozco because I look at the generations that were ahead of me and see how impactful they were. Such as my Aunt Leticia who’s a true embodiment of resilience and grace, because despite the arduous battle with cancer she’s been waging for years, her unwavering spirit prevails. She manages to not only persevere her own sense of joy but also radiates it, uplifting the spirits of all who surround her. She’s a beacon of hope, her strength gives me a push to keep moving forward even if it gets difficult. She reminds me constantly that there are better days and to be appreciative of everything. So heer perseverance and ability to inspire happiness is what I consider a legacy because not only does she leave a remarkable impact on me but the people around her.
