Leadership is indeed a very remarkable thing. Leadership is essential, especially to me; I have shown leadership in countless ways and have tried to do so by being active in school activities such as Link Crew, Kay Club student council, National Honors Society, of course, 2020 Leadership, and many more. As time has passed, I have become more of a leader daily.

I’ve had so many experiences with leadership, yet one situation stuck with me for so long. I have always struggled with speaking in front of peers, but I mustered up the courage to join Link Crew, but little did I know it would change my perspective of public speaking for life. As a sophomore, I wanted to do more, be more active in school, and show my pride in being a leader, so joining Link Crew was an excellent option. I have shown the most leadership within the Link Crew program, I have been a part of it for two years, and it has genuinely helped me with public speaking and helping others. I have benefited too much from aiding the freshman through high school. We have groups we meet with every month to do activities and connect them to everyday events, such as time management, looking and planning for your future, and so much more.

With NHS or National Honors Society, I would say it taught me how to help better our community by highlighting what some may not see. I was handed the position of the Historian of the NHS chapter to highlight what has been done by the NHS group. I have documented a collection of photographs and memories to showcase the fantastic job NHS does for our school and our community. I will make posts on our Instagram account to show the latest updates on events or upcoming activities NHS does, as well as how we serve our community. I have gotten to do a fantastic job doing community service throughout my time with NHS. Overall, I’m incredibly passionate about being a part of NHS and how it has helped shape my leadership skills.

KAY Club is all about community service and the opportunities to make a better place. I help plan community service projects with Kay Club to help serve needy people. With my dear friend Valeria, we planned to help with Giving the Basics. This nonprofit organization gives people in need primary hygiene products such as body wash or female sanitary products. It shows how I stood up and planned a community service activity to help others in need. Volunteering with Kay Club was fantastic; we genuinely make a difference in our community.

All in all, these are some of the significant leadership roles I took in high school. This aspect will help me and my future as a leader. I want to have a business and become an orthodontist; although it will be difficult, I believe I can do it, especially with my leadership skills. I enjoy helping others and providing services to them. Leadership will soon help me achieve my final goals, achieving my version of success. As a final verdict, leadership through all the fantastic opportunities presented to me, success is in my future, becoming a role model and a strong leader.
